Dual Labour Markets

Prof. Juan Dolado will document the emergence and persistence in some EU countries of dual labour markets, namely labour markets where workers are entitled to different employment protection depending on the contract they hold, and where these differences are really large. He will then deal with the consequences that dualism has on large range of labour market dimensions, and present an evaluation of recent reforms or reform proposals to eliminate the undesirable consequences of excessive dualism in the labour market.
