Call for Papers

ZEW Mannheim, jointly with the University of Turku and the VATT Institute for Economic Research in Finland, is pleased to announce the call for papers for the fifth Economics of Public Procurement Workshop, which will take place in Mannheim on 26 and 27 October 2023. The two-day event provides an annual forum to discuss recent advances in the economic analysis of public procurement and to bring together economists active in the field. The workshop will feature a keynote speech by Kei Kawai from the University of California, Berkeley, USA.

For this year’s edition, papers on collusion or secondary objectives (e.g. green or innovation policies) are particularly welcome. The full list of topics can be found in the call for papers. Interested authors are asked to submit a full empirical or theoretical paper in PDF format by 31 July 2023 via the conference management system.

Applicants will be notified of the acceptance decision by early September 2023. Accommodation and travel expenses (economy class) for presenters will be covered. There is no workshop fee.
