Prof. Dr. Hanna Hottenrott

Economics of Innovation and Industrial Dynamics

Professor Dr. Hanna Hottenrott is professor of innovation economics at the TUM School of Management at the Technische Universität München. Before joining TUM, she was assistant professor at the Düsseldorf Institute for Competition Economics (DICE) of the University of Düsseldorf. Prior to that, she was a post-doctoral researcher at the Catholic University of Leuven (K.U. Leuven) in Belgium, where she obtained a PhD in applied economics in 2010.

Hottenrott also holds an advanced degree in economics from the University of Heidelberg. During her studies, she also spent a period studying at the University of Sussex (UK). Hottenrott has been affiliated with ZEW since 2008.

Her research interests lie in the fields of industrial economics and applied micro-econometrics. She is particularly interested in the economics of innovation, economics of science and technological change.
