Economics of Innovation and Industrial Dynamics

Eline Schoonjans joined ZEW’s Research Unit Economics of Innovation and Industrial Dynamics as a post-doctoral researcher in 2023.

Using state-of-the-art econometric methods, she empirically investigates the ecological and economic effects of specific firm dynamics and labour market characteristics. In doing so, she focuses on sustainability and the role of innovations. Her dissertation at the Technical University of Munich, which she completed with distinction in June 2023, focuses on real economic and social effects of labour market frictions. A particular emphasis was put on income and gender inequality.
