Economics of Innovation and Industrial Dynamics

Eline Schoonjans works as post-doctoral researcher at ZEW’s Research Unit Economics of Innovation and Industrial Dynamics. She joined ZEW after completing her dissertation with distinction at the Technical University of Munich in 2023.

She studies how labor-market characteristics and regulatory shocks shape firm responses and resulting distributional and ecological outcomes. Using state-of-the-art econometric methods and detailed firm- and worker-level administrative data, she focuses on the role of innovations and inequality in the green transition.
