Professor Dr. Peter Werner is research associate at ZEW. He works in close cooperation with the research unit "Market Design".
After finalising his PhD at the University of Cologne in 2009, Peter Werner was a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Cologne and a visiting researcher at Pennsylvania State University. In October 2016, he joined the Department of Microeconomics and Public Economics at Maastricht University, where he works as an associate professor.
Peter Werner’s main research interests lie in behavioural and experimental economics. The goal of his research is to apply insights about behavioural regularities to the design of organisations, markets and public policy. In addition to his applied work, he conducts fundamental research on the nature of social preferences.
