Carlo Birkholz works as a researcher in ZEW’s Research Department “Corporate Taxation and Public Finance”. His research interests include topics in political economy, public finance, and development economics.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in business informatics as part of a dual studies programme at IBM Germany, he studied business administration and economics at the University of Freiburg. During his studies, he was able to work as an econometrics lecturer in Myanmar in co-operation with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. In the summer of 2019 he completed his studies with a master’s degree in economics.
