Nobody knows what the world of work will look like in the future. What is sure, however, is that increasing digitalisation and the crosslinking of business processes and communication channels are already changing the way we work. That is why the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS) has established, in the course of dialogues, the advisory board "Arbeiten 4.0" (Labour 4.0). Prof. Dr Irene Bertschek, Head of the ZEW Research Department "Information and Communication Technologies", has been appointed to the committee's panel of experts. Until the end of 2016, she will work hand in hand with further representatives from the fields of science and practice, as well as with BMAS to identify where action is needed and to find solutions that will shape the digital and interconnected working world of the future. The advisory board started its work on 22nd April, 2015.
