Claudi Hitaj, PhD, is a visiting researcher at ZEW’s Research Department "Environmental and Resource Economics, Environmental Management" from July 8 to August 2, 2013. She is a member of the agricultural and resource economics faculty of the University of Maryland. Her research focuses on energy economics, environmental and resource economics, renewable energy policy, and applied econometrics. During her stay, she is working on research addressing wind power development in Germany. On July 18, 2013, Claudia Hitaji held a ZEW Research Seminar on "Renewable Power Effects on Electricity Transmission Congestion and Emissions."
