This project illustrates recruitment and personnel strategies in the care sector against the background of recent skills shortages. One focus lies on the chances and problems of recruitment and integration of skilled workers hired from abroad. The study enhances current research by a representative employer survey.
Based on qualitative and quantitative analyses, the study derives practical recommendations for employers as well as for policy. The aim is to describe elements of sustainable recruitment strategies for skilled workers in the care sector. One specific question is how not only employers and workers, but also the countries of origin can benefit from international migration.
