Scaling Sovereign Digital Innovations – Is There a Structural Gap in Innovation Policy in Germany and the EU?

The aim of the planned project is to examine whether there is a structural gap in Germany and Europe regarding the support for scaling sovereign digital innovations. Within the scope of the project, innovation policy recommendations will be developed, including not only the regulation of dominant market players but also measures to reduce barriers to scaling and foster market dynamics.

Methodologically, the project is based on an analysis of relevant scientific literature. In addition, approximately 20 interviews with affected stakeholder groups will provide evidence-based support for the project and ensure the practical relevance of the findings.
