PatentsView: Disambiguation Advisory Council

PatentsView: Disambiguation Advisory Council

The goal of this project is the Evaluation of the current PatentsView disambiguation approach and the exploration of alternative methods.

The project comprises two activities:

  1. Participation of Thorsten Doherr in the advisory board of the PatentView platform: The participation includes the contribution and commenting of the documents for the development of the long-term objectives and corresponding procedures for the disambiguation of inventors, patent applicants and patent owners in the context of the PatentsView platform.
  2. The exemplary implementation of the name disambiguation software to be developed by Thorsten Doherr or already developed, including the application of this software to a subset of the PatentsView data. Development of a strategy to evaluate different disambiguation methods. Contribute to the development of appropriate working documents and scientific papers presenting the procedure and results.
