The goal of this project is the Evaluation of the current PatentsView disambiguation approach and the exploration of alternative methods.
The project comprises two activities:
- Participation of Thorsten Doherr in the advisory board of the PatentView platform: The participation includes the contribution and commenting of the documents for the development of the long-term objectives and corresponding procedures for the disambiguation of inventors, patent applicants and patent owners in the context of the PatentsView platform.
- The exemplary implementation of the name disambiguation software to be developed by Thorsten Doherr or already developed, including the application of this software to a subset of the PatentsView data. Development of a strategy to evaluate different disambiguation methods. Contribute to the development of appropriate working documents and scientific papers presenting the procedure and results.
