High-Growth Enterprises and Productivity: Country Report Germany 2019

High-Growth Enterprises and Productivity: Country Report Germany 2019

The project attempts to identify effective policy levers for supporting the emergence of high-growth enterprises (HGE) in Germany, which implies facilitating the entry of young innovative companies into periods of high growth (measured in terms of employment or turnover growth). It also envisages identifying innovative sectors in Germany in which productivity is low or stagnating and for which policies exist to boost productivity in those sectors. Finally it aims at monitoring and analysing research and innovation policies at the national level in Germany. All these tasks are in support of the European Semester analysis and the development and implementation of EU policy goals.
