ZEW will host an international workshop that will bring together 10 – 15 scholars contributing to the growing literature on social mobility and its relationship with economic performance. We are especially interested in contributions that explore the causes and consequences of changes in the intergenerational transmission of economic status. We also welcome submissions on any topic related to social mobility, the geography of intergenerational mobility and/or mobility in a crosscountry perspective. The workshop is jointly funded by the international research programme SEEK (Strengthening Efficiency and Competitiveness in the European Knowledge Economies) and the D3.2 grant Evidence-Based Anti-Poverty Policies – Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan.
