Workshop

Third ZEW Workshop

At its third edition, this event wants to provide on an annual basis a forum for frontier research in the empirical and theoretical economic analysis of government procurement and bring together economists with different backgrounds working in the field. The workshop will be held in person and on premises on November 4 and 5, 2021. There will be eight paper presentations, each followed by a discussion and Q&A with the audience. Topics of this edition are the study of public auctions’ competition, the evaluation of government procurement as a direct and indirect policy tool, and the design and implications of different awarding mechanisms. The empirical research presented and discussed during this workshop edition is based on data from Chech Republic, Italy, Spain, and Russia.
