Cooperation in the Economy

Cooperation in the Economy

Cooperation between companies is a daily business practice when producing goods and services. German companies employ various ways for cooperation, such as using third-party intermediate products or subservices, outsourcing and insourcing of production or service areas, and external service provision by the means of temporary employment agencies or contracts for work and services. The Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) together with infas Institute for Applied Social Sciences (infas) and the Lower Saxony Institute for Economic Research (NIW) are conducting a research project on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.Media coverage is often defined by unrepresentative particular cases. This project on the contrary intends to gather information on cooperation in the economy by conducting a representative survey in German companies.
