Digital Economy
Sebastian Valet has been working in ZEW’s Research Unit “Digital Economy” since 2019. He received his PhD in economics from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in 2026.
His research focuses on how digital platforms and artificial intelligence change the way people make decisions and how digital markets function. Using large-scale behavioral data and experiments, he studies the adoption and consequences of new digital technologies for consumers, workers, and competition.
