Purchasing and Organisation
Key areas
- Purchasing
- Organisation, facility management
The ever-increasing number of employees at ZEW means that requirements concerning organisational and infrastructural conditions are also growing. The team “Purchasing and Organisation” supports all areas of work at ZEW. We form the link between the requirements from the research and service units and the best possible procurement of required services within the framework of public procurement law. In doing so, we focus not only on writing up tender documents, but also on advising our colleagues. Procurement of services – such as surveys and reception services – and equipment, for example IT technology, software solutions, furniture and building projects, is regularly put out to tender.
A further focus in our daily work is on building management. We coordinate necessary repairs and maintenance and also take care of the renovation of office space, organisation of moves within the institute as well as the complete site and layout planning.
We are additionally involved, at times even in charge, in larger projects, such as in business process optimisation. We also contribute to the issuing of the annual programme budget, a planning and control instrument of ZEW. We also provide content for the annual, extensive data enquiry carried out by the Leibniz Association.
