Zhang Da Visiting Researcher at ZEW

Zhang Da, PhD student at the Institute of Energy, Environment and Economy of Tsinghua University in China, was visiting researcher at ZEW’s Research Department "Environmental and Resource Economics, Environmental Management" from July 17-20, 2013. His research interests are the economic and environmental analysis of China's climate policies and their distribution effects. In his PhD thesis he develops a multi-regional computable general equilibrium model with detailed disaggregation of China (C-REM). During his stay at ZEW, Zhang Da elaborated on a detailed depiction of China's electricity and transportation sectors in CGE models and worked on an integrated assessment of air pollutants as well as analyses of wind and solar energy in China from an economic and policy perspective.
