The cooperation agreement was signed in the Chinese capital on October 19, 2015.

The planned educational programme, offered in collaboration between the three institutions, will focus on the automotive industry. Its goal is to span all stages of qualification; from dual studies, to Bachelor and Master programmes, advanced training, and doctorates. As a cooperation partner, ZEW shares its economic know-how, as well as its inter-cultural expertise and experience in further education. In addition to ZEW’s Research Departments, the Service Department "Knowledge Transfer & Qualification Programmes" will make a significant contribution to the project.

ZEW staff plays an important role in furthering the cultural education and methodological competences of lecturers and students within the programme. It will also coordinate personnel exchanges within the study programme, support the acquisition of third-party funding and contribute to public relations activities. The cooperation between the three participating institutions aims to intensify scientific and industrial exchange between the People's Republic of China and Baden-Württemberg.
