2022/23 ZEW Sustainability Report Published

Dates and News

ZEW has published its Sustainability Report for the period 2022/23. The document provides a compact overview of the topic in seven chapters and 25 pages.

ZEW Mannheim signed the Business Initiative Sustainability (WIN) Charter of the State of Baden-Württemberg back in 2018 and is committed to the charter’s guiding principles. A yearly report has been published ever since, with the 2022/23 edition recently being released.

The current report summarises developments from July 2022 to June 2023 and, in seven chapters, illustrates ZEW’s milestones in sustainability strategy and outlines projects which have had the most significant economic, ecological and societal impacts.

ZEW commits to economic, ecological and social responsibility

Many measures have been taken, ranging from health promotion programmes for employees to sustainable mobility to diversity and non-discrimination in practice. At ZEW, sustainability concerns are always factored into digitalisation strategy, IT strategy and facility management.

About the WIN Charter

The WIN Charter (in German only) was developed as part of the sustainability strategy of the state of Baden-Württemberg as a tool for small and medium-sized businesses who employ sustainability principles. But large businesses and corporations are also part of the WIN Charter, making good use of its easily implementable sustainability management system. Commitment, self-initiative and open communication are the foundations of the WIN Charter. By signing the WIN Charter, businesses commit to comply with its 12 guiding principles, thus discernibly increasing their sustainability. From 2024, the content of the WIN Charter will be adapted into KLIMAWIN.
