Dr. Chiara Malavasi

Chiara Malavasi joined ZEW’s Research Unit “Labour Markets and Social Insurance” in September 2021. Her research lies at the intersection of labor, public, and health economics, with a particular focus on the economic implications of demographic change and its effects on social insurance programs.
 
Chiara completed her undergraduate studies in Economics at the University of Rome Tor Vergata and earned a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Pisa and Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies. In May 2025, she obtained a PhD in Economics from the University of Mannheim (CDSE).
