At the tenth International Creative Media Award (ICMA), the ZEW Media Design team received two awards for the 2018 edition of the ZEW Annual Report regarding outstanding individual achievements in the category “Annual Reports of Nonprofit Organizations, Associations, and Institutions” and the subcategory “Infographics”. This year saw 427 submissions from 26 countries worldwide.

With the newly designed Annual Report 2018, ZEW aimed to streamline its content with state-of-the-art graphics and illustrations. Subjects included global megatrends such as the energy transition, questions of European integration, demographic changes, and – as was the focus in the 2018 edition – digitalisation, which were integrated with aesthetically appealing visual language and infographics. The ICMA’s “Award of Excellence” underlines the creative and conceptual value of the annual report.

The ICMA is an international design competition for corporate publications, books, corporate identities, logos, and magazines. The International Editorial Design & Research Forum has been awarding prizes to outstanding publications in various categories since 2010. Aim of the competition is to showcase worldwide design trends, reward outstanding work, and promote creative exchange at the international level.
