ZEW Annual Report 2024

The ZEW Annual Report 2024, centred on the theme “STRENGTH”, is now available. Marked by a stagnating economy, political disruptions and global conflicts, the year 2024 presented enormous challenges for actors in politics, business and civil society. Against this backdrop, ZEW’s evidence-based research and policy recommendations provided insights that help to navigate these complexities and reinforce stability.

The dossier in the annual report shows how ZEW contributes to meeting the challenges of our day by conducting research on industrial policy, tax and fiscal issues and the future-oriented transformation of the economy and society – research that is always evidence-based, relevant to practice and future-oriented. The report also features contributions from the Institute's executive directors: a short essay by Claudia von Schuttenbach, in which she reflects on her first year as Managing Director of ZEW, and an interview with ZEW President Achim Wambach, PhD on key aspects of the theme of strength from the perspective of economics.
 

The report also informs you on our events, research projects and dialogue formats – from exchange with senior decision-makers to studies funded by international cooperation partners, for example on the impact of financial literacy or the implications of change in the world of work.
