Prof. Dr. Friedrich Heinemann

Prof. Dr. Friedrich Heinemann has been appointed as extraordinary professor for macroeconomics at Heidelberg Ruprecht-Karls University. Heinemann is Head of the Research Department "Corporate Taxation and Public Finance" at the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) in Mannheim. For several years, he has already been associate professor for research and teaching at Heidelberg University. He studied macroeconomics and history at the University of Münster, at the London School of Economics, and at the University of Mannheim where he became a Dr. rer. pol. In 2010 he qualified as a professor (Habilitation) at Heidelberg University. His research interests are empirical finance and especially issues concerning European integration, federalism as well as tax- and fiscal policy.
