Knowledge Transfer and Qualification Programmes at ZEW: 2015-16 Seminar Programme Released

Knowledge Transfer and Qualification Programmes

The new Seminar Programme of the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) has been released, featuring an extended range of seminars. ZEW offers scientifically grounded qualification programmes for specialists and executive staff from all areas. The seminars are tailored to specific target audiences and draw on knowledge obtained through ZEW research activities. The training seminars are held by ZEW experts in an application-oriented way.

Seminars on basic- and advanced-level economics by ZEW researchers form the core of the new 2015-16 ZEW Seminar Programme. The focus lies on statistical and econometric methods, as well as broader economic contexts. Seminars on industry analyses and on business administration and organisation complete the programme. Emphasis is also placed on qualification programmes specifically targeted at scientific staff.

ZEW President Clemens Fuest and Thomas Kohl, Director of Business and Administration at ZEW, comment: "Acquiring knowledge is a lifelong process that does not end after successfully obtaining a university degree or completing a vocational qualification. Ongoing extra-occupational further training is a key factor when it comes to improving individual skills and entrepreneurial performance. Lifelong learning has become indispensable in science and in business."
