On 22 June 2010, ZEW and the University of Mannheim welcomed 100 guests to this year’s Mannheim Corporate Tax Day. Once again, the institute had the pleasure of welcoming renowned speakers from the worlds of economics, business and financial administration.
The central theme of the event were practical issues relating to tax-oriented valuation, with a number of talks, panel discussions and case-study workshops being held on the topic. The key take-away from the Mannheim Corporate Tax Day was that combination of the economic crisis along with considerable changes to German tax law have created specific challenges when it comes to tax evaluation. The speakers provided a number recommendations for how to approach tax-oriented valuation, which were then discussed with conference participants.
