Dr. rer. pol. Lara Marie Berger

Lara Marie Berger has been a postdoctoral researcher in ZEW’s Research Unit “Digital Economy” since September 2026. She studied economics in Cologne, Warsaw, Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo while also training as a business journalist at the Cologne School of Journalism. From July 2020 to August 2026, she worked as a research associate at the Chair of Media Economics at the University of Cologne. She completed her doctoral dissertation, entitled “Essays on Attention and Information in Digital Media Markets”, in Cologne in 2026. Her research focuses on how digitalisation and artificial intelligence are transforming information flows in society, with a particular emphasis on media markets.
