Lara Bartels studied economics at the Ruprecht-Karls-University of Heidelberg and obtained her master's degree in economics & institutions at the Philipps University of Marburg. Her master’s thesis was written in cooperation with the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ, German Corporation for International Cooperation) and the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT). In her thesis, she investigated cooperation mechanisms on watershed management in field experiments in India. Lara Bartels joined ZEW’s Research Department “Environmental and Climate Economics” in September 2019.
