The German system of higher education currently faces many reforms concerning the organization of degrees, the profiling of universities and financing aspects. These reforms are mainly said to aim at the modernisation of higher education in order to meet the requierements of modern knowledge societies. A Study on the implications of the reforms from the perspective of Economics of Education can give valuable new insights.
