The German economy has not grown since the coronavirus pandemic began. In their latest annual report, the German Council of Economic Experts therefore calls for prospects to be created for tomorrow, while at the same time warning against squandering opportunities. In two episodes of the ZEW podcast Economics Actually (Wirklich Wirtschaft), the chair of the German Council of Economic Experts, Professor Dr. Dr. h.c. Monika Schnitzer, discusses the key findings of the report.
In the second episode, Monika Schnitzer presents the Council of Economic Experts' annual report. At the end of 2025, she gave a recorded lecture as part of the ZEW event series “First-hand economic policy,” in which she presented the Council of Economic Experts' most comprehensive report to date.
