1. MPI-ZEW Private Law & Economics Workshop

Workshop

In many policy areas, a close cooperation between legal scholars and economists is of substantial and still rising importance. The extension of the mutual understanding of researchers for the other discipline therefore becomes a key driver for success in both academia and policy advice.

Against this background, the idea was born to bring together legal scholars of the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg with economists of the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) as part of a workshop in order to present either research ideas or the results of recent research projects and to subsequently facilitate an interdisciplinary discussion.

Although the workshop is generally open for all topics in the field of law and economics, a particular focus will be on the law and economics of capital markets and competition law and economics.
