The aim of this research is to collect data on innovation activities of the business enterprise sector in the State of Saxony in the years 2023 to 2025 as well as the planned innovation activities in 2026 and 2027. For this purpose, the German Innovation Survey 2026 is complemented by a special sample of firms from Saxony. This additional innovation survey for Saxony fully shares all methodical elements of the German Innovation Survey in terms of sampling, questionnaire, survey methodology, data processing and data analysis). Weighted results are reported for the population of enterprises in Saxony with 5 or more employees in manufacturing and business-oriented service sectors and compared to the results for enterprises in Germany and the other East German States.
