Matthias Körnig

Environmental and Climate Economics

Matthias Körnig has been a PhD-student and researcher in ZEW’s  “Environmental and Climate Economics” Unit since March 2024. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Mannheim and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Hamburg. He is particularly interested in the role of environmental policy design and market structure in shaping sectoral transformation processes, including carbon pricing and green innovation incentives. Current work focuses on quantitative spatial economic methods.
