ZEW Sponsors' Association Elects BW-Bank's Claudia Diem onto the Board

At its most recent general assembly, the Sponsors' Association for Science and Practice at the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) in Mannheim confirmed Dr. Ralf Krieger, member of the board of management at the Freudenberg SE, and Dr. Georg Müller, chief executive at MVV Energie AG, as board members of the ZEW Sponsors' Association. Newly admitted to the association's board was Claudia Diem, board member of the Bank of Baden-Württemberg AG (BW-Bank). She will assume the office of treasurer.

The ZEW Sponsors' Association expressed their sincere thanks to Dr. Uwe Schroeder-Wildberg, chief executive at MLP AG, who has stepped down from the board. After serving for twelve years on the board of the association, he was no longer eligible for re-election according to the committee's statutes. Claudia Diem is responsible for corporate clients in Baden-Württemberg West in her position at BW-Bank, a founding member of the ZEW Sponsors' Association.

The position of chair is still occupied by Dr. Alexander Selent, former chief financial officer at Fuchs Petrolub SE, while Luka Mucic, member of the Global Managing Board at SAP SE, is still serving as vice-chair.

Before the board elections, Professor Achim Wambach officially introduced himself to the members of the Sponsors' Association as the new ZEW President. Following the board elections, Philipp Massier from ZEW's Research Department "Environmental and Resource Economics, Environmental Management" presented a project financed by the Sponsors' Association entitled "Investment in energy efficiency in the manufacturing sector."
