Search for Successor to ZEW President Fuest Has Begun

In view of Professor Clemens Fuest's planned departure from ZEW, the search for a new ZEW President has begun. An advertisement for the position has thus been released.

ZEW is looking for an individual who has the ability to further the conceptual development of a large economic research institute; a successor who is able to strengthen the institute's European and international orientation, lead and inspire a team of skilled researchers, provide policy-makers in the fields of politics and business with competent policy advice and appropriately represent ZEW in the public domain.

On becoming President and Executive Director of ZEW, the successful candidate will also be granted, subject to the approval of the university bodies, a W3 professorship (professorship without teaching obligations) at the University of Mannheim.  Applications are to be submitted until July 31, 2015, to the chairwoman of the supervisory board.
