President of the Korean-German Association for Social Sciences Visits ZEW

On June 11, 2013, Dr. Du-Whan Rhee, President of the Korean-German Association for Social Sciences and Senior Fellow of the Institute for National Security Strategy (INSS) in Seoul, visited the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) in Mannheim.

Thomas Kohl, ZEW’s Director of Business and Administration, welcomed Dr. Rhee. Stephan Reichert and Katharina Kober from ZEW’s Strategic Planning Unit then gave an overview of the institute and of the activities of its research units. Dr. Rhee showed particular interest in ZEW’s contacts to South Korean institutions. He was very impressed by the young average age of ZEW’s employees, in particular of the doctoral candidates, who have an important part in ZEW’s research activities.
