Germany's Federal Minister of Finance Dr. Wolfgang Schäuble gave a speech on fiscal and financial market policy after the crisis at ZEW on 20 September 2010. Within the lecture series "Wirtschafspolitik aus erster Hand" which provides first-hand information on current economic policy, ZEW president Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Wolfgang Franz welcomed around 400 guests to this event.

Before his lecture, Dr. Schäuble met with Mannheim's mayor Dr. Peter Kurz. Afterwards the Federal Minister of Finance signed the city's golden book at ZEW.
