First Annual MaTax Conference (September 17-18, 2014)

Dates and News

The Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) hosts an international conference on taxation research on September 17 and 18, 2014, launching the new Leibniz ScienceCampus "Mannheim Taxation” (MaTax). Many renowned scholars in the field will present their latest work at the conference. We look forward to a stimulating keynote speech delivered by Professor Joel Slemrod, University of Michigan. The conference will also host the official MaTax opening ceremony, where welcome addresses will be given by the Minister of Science, Research and the Arts of Baden-Wuerttemberg, Theresia Bauer, the President of the Leibniz Association, Professor Matthias Kleiner, as well as representatives of the University of Mannheim and ZEW. The ceremony will end with a panel discussion on recent developments in international taxation. Conference participation for non-members of MaTax is EUR 200 and by personal invitation only; please get in touch with Katharina Finke and Philipp Dörrenberg (matax@zew.de) for enquiries.
