Mannheim Innovation Panel
The Mannheim Innovation Panel (MIP) is a representative, annual survey of innovation activities in the German economy. The MIP is Germany’s contribution to the European Commission’s Community Innovation Surveys (CIS) and provides data for the Federal Government’s national innovation statistics, for Eurostat’s European innovation statistics and for the OECD’s international innovation statistics. The survey is carried out on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Research (BMFTR) in collaboration with the Institute for Applied Social Sciences (infas) and the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research (ISI).
