Innovation Survey 2016 for Berlin

Innovation Survey 2016 for Berlin

The aim of this research is to determine the extent and scope of innovation activities of the business enterprise sector in the city of Berlin in the years 2013 to 2015 as well as the planned innovation activities in 2016 and 2017. Based on a special sample of Berlin-based enterprises as part of the German Innovation Survey 2016, a survey is conducted. The innovation survey for Berlin is conceived as an “additional survey”, which means that the basic methodical elements (sample surveys, questionnaires, evaluation procedures) remain unrevised compared to the German innovation survey. Weighted results are reported for the population of enterprises in Berlin with 5 or more employees in selected sectors of economic activity (manufacturing, knowledge-intensive services) and compared to the results for enterprises in other metropolitan regions of Germany.
