Experience with the Administration of the German R&D Tax Credit in the Mechanical Engineering Industry

The aim of the study is to conduct, together with the Association of the German Mechanical Engineering Industry (VDMA), a survey among VDMA member firms on the use of the newly introduced R&D tax credit in Germany. A final report summarizes the survey results, puts them into the context of statistics on the use of the R&D tax credit obtained from other sources (innovation survey, monitoring data) and derives conclusions on further developing the R&D tax credit as an innovation policy instrument.
