MaCCI Annual Conference 2027
ConferenceThe Mannheim Centre for Competition and Innovation (MaCCI), a joint initiative between ZEW Mannheim and the University of Mannheim, is pleased to announce its 2027 Annual Conference. The conference will take place on 11 and 12 March in Mannheim, Germany. The aim of the conference is to provide a platform for exchange and discussion on topics in competition- and innovation-related research between academic researchers and practitioners in public authorities, legal counsel, and economic consultancies.
Information on previous editions of the conference is available at https://www.macci-mannheim.eu/.
The programme will also feature special sessions organised by the Bundeskartellamt, the European Commission and the Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht. For the contributed sessions, submissions of theoretical, empirical and case-oriented papers on competition economics, competition law and related areas (e.g. regulated industries, competition and innovation) are welcome.
We particularly invite legal scholars to submit papers focusing on EU competition law (including related regulation of digital markets) or comparative competition law. At the 2027 conference, a dedicated law session will be curated by ASCOLA Germany. In addition, Alexander Morell (Goethe University Frankfurt) will curate a “Competition Law and Economics” session, which brings together papers that use economic methods to address questions arising specifically in competition law; authors are invited to indicate upon submission if they wish to be considered for this session.
