Innovation in Firms: Proposals for a Better Measurement - Workshop in the Context of the Oslo Manual Revision Process

The workshop took place in the context of the ongoing revision of the Oslo Manual, which is the international standard for measuring and interpreting innovation data. The workshop brought together more than 30 researchers from 13 different countries who have been using firm-level innovation data collected by innovation surveys which rely on concepts and definitions laid down in the Oslo Manual. The participants discussed strengths and shortcomings of currently available firm-level innovation data for analysing innovative processes in firms and developed ways for improving the definition and measurement of innovation in firms.
