[ D] Time-series data on firm formation dynamics in Germany is available since 1995. The data provides information on the intensity of foundation activities on different regional levels and industries. The intensity of foundation activities is measured as the number of start-ups in the region and industry by 10.000 inhabitants of working age (18 - 65). Start-ups are identified using the Mannheim Enterprise Panel (MUP).
A yearly update of time-series information is available in autumn. Time-series information can be offered at the regional level of administrative districts, regional planning areas, metropolitan regions, cantons of the chambers of industry and commerce, states, and the federal republic of Germany. Please find standard tables for detailed information.
