Dr. Daniela Steinbrenner

Corporate Taxation and Public Finance

Daniela Steinbrenner joined ZEW’s Research Unit “Corporate Taxation and Public Finance” in October 2016. She obtained her PhD in February 2022 at the Taxation Track of the Center for Doctoral Studies in Business (CDSB) at the Graduate School of Economic and Social Sciences (GESS) at the University of Mannheim under the supervision of Professor Christoph Spengel. She studied business administration at the University of Mannheim and HEC Paris. Her major fields of study were business taxation and tax law.

She is especially interested in the following research areas of tax policy: measurement of the effectiveness of research and development tax incentives; development of R&D tax incentives in Germany; and effective tax burdens of employees and companies in corporate tax competition.
