Susanne Thorwarth studied economics with focus on development economics, econometrics and applied economics at the University of Heidelberg and the University of Mannheim. Since 2007 she is a member of the Department of Managerial Economics, Strategy and Innovation at the Faculty of Business and Economics at K.U. Leuven in Belgium where she followed the Doctoral Program and obtained her PhD about the productivity effects of research, development and design activities in March 2011. Since September 2011 she has been employed as a senior researcher at the Monopolies Commission in Bonn.
