Juniorprof. Dr. Kai Hüschelrath

Senior Researcher

Since October 2006 Kai Hüschelrath is a Researcher in the Department of Industrial Economics and International Management. His research mainly concentrates on competition policy and regulatory economics. Since April 2009 he also holds a position as assistant professor of Industrial Organization and Competitive Strategy at WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar.
Kai Hüschelrath studied economics and management at the University of Würzburg. From 2001 to 2004 he was a research and teaching assistant of Prof. Dr. Jürgen Weigand at the Chair for Microeconomics and Industrial Organization at WHU. During that time he spent several months as a visiting scholar at the University of California at Berkeley and the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. In his dissertation he addressed the topic "Competition Policy Analysis – An Integrated Approach with Applications to Strategic Behavior". From 2005 to 2006 he worked as an economist in the London office of Frontier Economics.
