Dr. Gunnar Lang

Gunnar Lang is senior researcher and deputy head of the ZEW research department "International Finance and Financial Management" of the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) in Mannheim. His research focuses on financial market regulation, corporate strategy, corporate finance, and real estate markets. He is involved in research projects funded by third parties such as the European Commission, federal ministries and companies. He is furthermore in charge of the Financial Market Survey China. Gunnar Lang not only presents his studies at national and international, high-level conferences but also in front of lay audiences.
He was awarded a doctoral degree from Stuttgart University in mid-2012, was a visiting researcher at Harvard Business School, Boston (US), in 2009 and 2010 and at the United States Housing and Urban Development Department in Washington, D.C., in 2010. Gunnar Lang has also been active in academia. He has held master's-level lectures on financial management and controlling at Heidelberg University. Prior to his employment at ZEW, Gunnar Lang worked in different divisions of a major German bank and for a software development company. After his training-integrated studies of Business Administration in Karlsruhe, he completed his studies of economics at Heidelberg University.
