ZEW Supports School Project on Sustainability

Dates and News

ZEW researcher Christiane Reif lectured on sustainability and introduced ZEW in front of students of the Karl Ritter von Fritsch Grammar School in Moosburg

A research project on sustainability gave a group of 15 eleventh-form students of Karl Ritter von Frisch Grammar School in Moosburg the opportunity to gain insights into the work at ZEW. In mid-March, Christiane Reif, researcher with the ZEW Research Department “Environmental and Resource Economics, Environmental Management”, introduced the students to an economic perspective on climate change: Why is the global climate a public good? What is the free-rider problem in climate policy negotiations? Christiane Reif and the students discussed possible solutions to those questions. One of the school project’s major goals is to offer students the opportunity to look into the working world. In this context, Christiane Reif gave a crash course on research work. She also introduced ZEW as an employer and a place for vocational training.
