China’s Economy Catches Up But Does Not Surpass the USA (Yet)

In the future, China’s economy will still be one of the fastest growing economies in the world. China’s share of the global gross domestic product (GDP) will continue to grow in the next ten years. The USA’s share, on the other hand, will decrease. In ten years, however, the USA will still be more important for the global GDP than China. These are the findings of a survey conducted at the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) among 249 financial market experts. read more

ZEW Survey Among Financial Market Experts: German and U.S. Stock Markets with Little Potential for Growth in 2008 // Exchange Rate of 1.44 Dollar for One Euro Expected at the End of 2008

For the leading indexes of the German and the U.S. stock markets, Dax and Dow Jones, a rather lower potential for growth can be expected until the end of 2008. At the same time, the Euro will maintain its strength during the next year.
